CanPacific Potash Joint Venture Project
The CanPacific Potash Project is located in the Saskatchewan Potash district that represents nearly 26% of the world production and over half of the known potash reserves. The district has nine operating potash mines one of which is a solution mine.
Albany Project
The Albany Project is a proposed three million tonne per year solution potash mine. It is situated on mining lease KL262, which covers approximately 27,960 hectares of land and is located approximately 30 kilometres southeast of Regina, SK, in the RM’s of Lajord and Francis.
The Albany Project sits on the southern margin of the Elk Pointe Basin within the Devonian Prairie Evaporite sequence. Three major potash beds including the Patience Lake, the Belle Plaine and the Esterhazy are the focus of the proposed project.
